Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha step out on a dinner date amid engagement rumours. See pics, videos

 

By Janani K: Parineeti Chopra and AAP (Aam Aadmi Party) MP Raghav Chadha have been making headlines for the past few weeks. On May 7, the two were spotted going on a dinner date at a restaurant in Mumbai. It is being reported that the two will get engaged in the presence of family members on May 13. However, Parineeti and Raghav have been tight-lipped about their union. Last week, the actress was spotted at celebrity designer Manish Malhotra's office.
PARINEETI AND RAGHAV GO ON A DINNER DATE IN MUMBAI

Reports suggest that Parineeti and Raghav are all set to get engaged in less than a week. Their roka was done recently, according to an IndiaToday.in report.

On May 7, Raghav and Parineeti grabbed the limelight yet again as they went on a dinner date in Mumbai. While Pari chose a little black dress with a blazer, Raghav wore a blue shirt and a pair of trousers for the evening. Photos and videos of the two are going viral on social media.

Paps, who were waiting outside the restaurant, asked them about their shaadi and congratulated them. However, Parineeti and Raghav did not share any details. They thanked the paps and left home in the same car.

IndiaToday.in exclusively learnt earlier that Parineeti and Raghav's roka is done. As per our source, their wedding might take place by the end of October this year.

A source close to the couple told IndiaToday.in, "Parineeti and Raghav's roka is done. It was a family affair and they both are very happy. The duo is likely to get married by October-end of this year. Parineeti and Raghav are in no rush and they both have work commitments that they need to take care of before getting into the wedding festivities.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Parineeti will next be seen in Chamkila with Diljit Dosanjh. The film is directed by Imtiaz Ali. She was last seen in Uunchai with Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher and Boman Irani.

Bhanjanagar: The famous Maa Thakurani Jatra of Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district of Odisha is all set to commence. Five ghatas (earthen holy pots) are the main attraction of the festival. Five women carry these five ghatas and roam in the town that is called Nagar Parikrama. One of these ghatas represent the prime deity while the four other ghatas represent the four parswa devis. Devotees welcome the holy procession and worship the ghatas in front of their houses with great devotion.

For this Maa Thakurani Jatra of Bhanjanagar all the preparations have been completed. The ghatas are coloured and beautiful and Godly figures are drawn on it. This work has been completed. The ghata of the prime deity and the four parswa deities have been decorated with attractive colours and beautiful images.

Five women will carry the five ghatas on their head and will set out for the Nagar Bhraman along with other devotees. The idols are worn ornaments and decorated with flowers.

The festival will continue for 21 days in which worships will be performed as per the tradition. The whole town has been decked up with attractive elements to welcome the Goddess. Even, the devotees are much excited.

The specialty of the Thakurani Jatra of Bhanjanagar is that here the worship is done with tradition, devotion, belief and respect. All the rituals of the jatra are based upon these four points.

Like every year, this year also artists have beautifully decorated the ghatas of the Goddesses. The artists also follow some rules during making and decoration of these ghatas. They use to perform the task in the Mahendra bela. They do it with optimum purity and devotion. This year artist Dhruba Maharana has made and coloured the ghatas. All the ghatas are now ready to be used in the service of the Goddess.

Many beliefs are there related to the ghatas of the Goddess. It is believed that by taking a glimpse of the ghatas all wishes are fulfilled. People develop a feel of devotion towards God by witnessing the ghatas.

The 21 days festival of Maa Thakurani witnesses large number of devotees. Especially during the nagar bhraman, large number of crowd is seen to witness the ghatas.

Goddess Maa Thakurani and Bagdevi have been established at a temporary mandap. Besides the rest days, the Goddesses roam in the town on all other days.

All arrangements have been made by the district and police administration so that the festival can be completed with discipline.

Kerala: 22 Dead After Boat Capsizes in Malappuram; PM Modi Announces Rs 2L Ex-gratia for Kin of Deceased

The search and rescue operations are ongoing and are expected to continue for a while. Efforts are being made to bring the capsized boat to the shore.

At least 22 people have lost their lives after a houseboat, which was ferrying tourists capsized in Kerala’s Malappuram district on Sunday. Eight people are in the hospital as the search operations have resumed.

While the officials are not able to find out the exact number of people in the boat, they are assuming that around 35 people were present on the boat at the time of the incident.

The boat had two decks, the upper one where people could stand and the Lower one with seats. The incident happened around 7.30 pm.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for them.

In a tweet, the PMO said, “Pained by the loss of lives due to the boat mishap in Malappuram, Kerala. Condolences to the bereaved families. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be provided to the next of kin of each deceased: PM Modi."

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is expected to visit the accident site on Monday, News18 sources said.

Taking to Twitter, Vijayan said, “deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives in the Tanur boat accident in Malappuram. Have directed the District administration to effectively coordinate rescue operations, which are being overseen by Cabinet Ministers. Heartfelt condolences to the grieving families & friends."

Kerala Tourism Minister Mohammed Riyas is on his way to Thanoor from Kozhikode, sources added.

The fire department, police officers, along with the locals and several boatmen are providing assistance to the rescue operations.

The search and rescue operations are ongoing and are expected to continue for a while. Efforts are being made to bring the capsized boat to the shore.

At least ten people have been admitted to nearby private and government hospitals, police said, news agency PTI reported.

President Droupadi Murmu said that she was “deeply saddened by the tragic boat accident in Kerala. “I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," she said.

The exact cause of the accident was not known at present, police said.
